City Education Authority Revokes Licences of Underperforming Schools

KEYIR NEWS:- The Addis Ababa City Administration Education & Training Quality Control Authority has announced a list of schools barred from operating in the 2018 academic year after failing to meet minimum accreditation standards.

These institutions had previously received warnings following poor results in a licence renewal assessment conducted in late 2016. They were allowed to continue provisionally through the 2017 academic year under the condition that they improved their performance by December 2017.

However, having failed to meet the required benchmarks in the follow-up evaluation, the Authority has now revoked their accreditation.

Parents and the education community have been urged to make alternative arrangements ahead of the upcoming academic year.
