KEYIR NEWS:- The Tserha Menelik Building, located in the Piazza area of Addis Ababa, will officially handed over to the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church tomorrow following its full reconstruction by the Addis Ababa City Administration.
The building, restored through public funding, has been rebuilt and prepared for official use. The handover ceremony is scheduled for July 01, 2025.
Other bishops, clergy, and department heads from the Archdiocese will also take part in the ceremony.
The building is a significant property of the Church and will resume serving administrative and religious functions following its restoration.
Church leaders will attend including His Holiness Abune Mathias I, Patriarch of Ethiopia and Archbishop of Axum; His Holiness Abune Sawiros, General Manager of the Archdiocese and Archbishop of South West Shewa and Sheger City; and His Holiness Abune Dioscorus, General Secretary of the Holy Synod and Archbishop of Raya Diocese.
