KEYIR NEWS:- Demonstrations in support of government-led law enforcement efforts were held across several cities in the Amhara Regional State, including Dessie, Debre Berhan, Kombolcha, and Harbu.
Participants expressed alignment with the federal government’s repeated calls for peace and enforcement of the rule of law. Slogans heard during the events included “We want peace,” reflecting public endorsement of the ongoing measures.
In Dessie, administrative seat of South Wollo Zone, residents gathered alongside demonstrators in nearby Kombolcha and Harbu. Similar mobilizations occurred in Debre Berhan, the administrative centre of North Shewa Zone, where participants reiterated their support for peace initiatives.
The demonstrations follow intensified government messaging around the need for stability in the region. Local authorities and residents signaled the importance of coordinated efforts to maintain order.
