Veteran Journalist Dereje Haile Signs Three-Year Deal with Jumbo Real Estate


KEYIR NEWS:- Jumbo Real Estate has entered into a three-year partnership with veteran journalist Dereje Haile, officially announcing him as the company’s brand ambassador during a signing ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel on 19 June 2017 (E.C.).

Speaking at the event, Jumbo Real Estate Group CEO Mr. Debebe Seifu said Dereje will soon begin representing the company at the upcoming Ethiopian Sports Festival in North America. 

The announcement formalises the appointment made during Dereje’s 60th birthday celebration, where he was also honoured with a three-bedroom home by Jumbo, a BYD E2 car from Tamesol Communications, and a financial gift from friends.

The CEO praised Dereje’s professional integrity, stating: “We selected him not just for his public recognition but because his values and contributions align closely with ours.” He emphasised that Dereje’s experience and credibility would be instrumental in elevating the Jumbo brand.

Dereje, who has spent his entire career in journalism, expressed his gratitude. “I’ve never done any job besides journalism. I’ve never complained that it doesn’t pay me,” he said. “This recognition means everything.”

Tamesol Communications also delivered on its birthday promise, handing Dereje the BYD E2 electric car, estimated at 3.4 million birr, during the event.
