KEYIR NEWS - Addis Media Network (AMN), the capital’s flagship municipal broadcaster, convened its awards and commendation ceremony this morning to celebrate its performance during the 2024/25 fiscal year.
Addressing the gathering at Arada Sub-City Hall, Chief Executive Officer Kassahun Gonfa announced that the Addis Ababa City Administration had formally recognised AMN for its exemplary achievements over the past budget year.
He credited the accolade to the unwavering dedication of the network’s journalists, technical staff, and management.
“This honour from the City Administration will serve as a springboard for our future undertakings, strengthening our commitment to delivering timely, accurate, and trustworthy information to the public,” Kassahun remarked.
During the event, AMN’s Strategic Director, Abebe Dessalegn, outlined the organisation’s strategic plan for the coming year.

The framework, he said, rests on six core pillars designed to enhance operational efficiency and journalistic quality. Beyond its editorial mandate, AMN has also engaged in a range of community service initiatives across the capital.
Outstanding media professionals and staff members were presented with certificates of recognition by the CEO in acknowledgment of their exceptional contributions.
The ceremony underscored AMN’s dual role as both a public service broadcaster and an active participant in the civic life of Addis Ababa.
