KEYIR NEWS:- Ethiopian long-distance runners asserted their global dominance once again, claiming the top three positions in the men’s 10,000 metres event held in Eugene, Oregon.
Biniam Mehari delivered a stunning performance, clinching first place with a time of 26:43.82. In a closely contested race, Olympic silver medallist Berihu Aregawi secured second place, clocking in at 26:43.84, just two-hundredths of a second behind his compatriot.
Solomon Barega, the 2020 Olympic gold medallist in the 10,000m, completed the Ethiopian sweep, crossing the finish line in third place with a time of 26:44.13.
The race, one of the season’s most anticipated long-distance events, was marked by strategic pacing and a powerful final surge from the Ethiopian trio, who outclassed a competitive international field.
