KEYIR NEWS - The President of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs of Ethiopia, Haji Ibrahim Tufa (Hon. Dr.), has commended Merilid Bashir Hassan, the top performer in the 2017 Ethiopian Grade 12 national examination.
Merilid secured the highest score nationwide, achieving 591 marks out of 600 among 585,880 students who sat for the exam.
In his remarks, Haji Ibrahim Tufa described the achievement as inspiring and exemplary, stressing that Merilid’s success would serve as a model for other students across the country.
To recognize his accomplishment, the Council presented Merilid with the one-time Amra Award, along with other symbolic tokens of encouragement for both him and his parents.
Merilid, a student at Dodola Ifa Boru Special Boarding Secondary School, has consistently demonstrated outstanding academic performance, contributing to the school’s record of high achievement in recent years.
